Native Americans Against Drugs and Alcohol Corp. (NAADA) has been a dream of mine for over 17 years. Now that my children are grown I want to encourage and help other children reach their dreams. NAADA is a new Non-Profit and we are in the infancy stage, however we have been teamed up with the Warrior Movement and the Sacred Walk Initiative for several years. This year has been challenging as NAADA lost most of its inventory in the flood. NAADA is rebuilding and rebranding. One of the main objectives of NAADA is educating youth about the dangers of drugs and alcohol. Drugs and alcohol are destroying Families. New drugs are coming in as well as new gangs. It is important to protect our youth. Many children are being raised by their Grandparents as their parents are lost in addiction or in a few cases the parent has disappeared and never found. It is heartbreaking that these children have experienced so much heartache so early! NAADA wants them to succeed and flourish!!! NAADA wants to support and encourage them and show them that dreams can come true and that they need to go after their dreams, that they have a chance for a different life! NAADA will support children who want to be musicians, artists, drummers, dancers, writers, and any type of sport activity. Our long term goal is that the youth we work with will teach other youth in their lives about healthy choices and following their dreams. Children learn what they live. Children are our future. It takes a village to raise a child, be part of our village and make a difference. Thank you! Carrie
