GivE A HOOT
In the heart of Montana's beloved Paradise Valley, where the wind whispers through towering pines and the rivers flow with untamed grace, a group of dedicated women assume the responsibility to ensure the future of a wild Yellowstone.
With a steadfast resolve born from years of witnessing the rapid degradation of our aquatic resources, Montana Freshwater Partners (MFP) was founded in 2011. MFP's team, the conservation gals, are on a mission to restore and protect the precious waterways crisscrossing our beloved state.
With the pressures on Montana's Yellowstone River mounting - from record-breaking floods to encroaching development - the gals knew they had to act. Thus, the Give Back to the Yellowstone Resiliency Program was born.
And when disaster struck in the form of a catastrophic flood in June 2022, MFP didn't flinch: Coordinating with local, state, and federal agencies to spearhead flood response efforts, they mapped out a path to recovery, educating communities on flood and erosion risks while identifying priority areas for protection and enhancement.
Montana Freshwater Partners harnesses the power of the community to generate funds for on-the-ground projects, ensuring that the river they love remains a vibrant and thriving ecosystem for generations to come.
With a blend of science and compassion, MFP promotes tolerance for coexistence while safeguarding the ecological balance of the land: offering non-lethal solutions to manage conflicts with the Beaver Conflict Resolution Program.
Through their tireless efforts, Montana Freshwater Partners is not just preserving rivers and streams - they're preserving a way of life.
For in the wild heart of the West, where the rivers run free and the spirit of adventure knows no bounds, they're proving that with dedication and determination, anything is possible.
