Montessori Island School is a close-knit community of staff, students, and their families thriving together within the greater community of Livingston, Montana operating for over 21 years. We strive to be a positive force in our community by inspiring children to love learning, to understand the world in which they live, and to find their place in it. Our Goals:  To serve the community of Park County and beyond with programs for infants and children from 19 months to adolescence.  To provide a peaceful, safe and consistent environment where independence, responsibility and a sense of self-worth are fostered.  To offer a traditional Montessori curriculum that honors the individuality and unique gifts of each child while promoting healthy intellectual, social and physical development.  To support a dedicated, certified staff in teaching the whole child within multi-age family-like groupings and prepared classroom environments.  To help children develop into citizens who are respectful of each other and of their environment, and who have the ability and desire to fulfill lifetime educational and social goals.
