The heart and soul of the LiveWell49 Coalition (LW49) lies within the idea that to solve complex problems, we will be more successful together than a single organization can be on its own. LW49 has been doing the work of networking, collaborating, connecting, and creating efficiencies across multiple sectors and partners in Park County since its inception in 2017. We now engage over 300 individuals who represent over 60 local non-profits, healthcare organizations, city/county government, and school districts.
As a staffed coalition, our work supporting the community falls into four categories:
WE FACILITATE
Facilitating regular gatherings to support progress and foster emerging community initiatives is the core of our work.
* LW49 Coalition = Meets monthly to advance work towards shared goals informed by community data about mental and behavioral health needs
* Park County Suicide Prevention Coalition = Forming this new, dedicated coalition to bolster prevention and support survivors of suicide loss
* Community Resource Collaborative = Monthly information sharing for community organizations
* Grant Administration = We add capacity for short-term projects such as offering free counseling sessions in the wake of the June 2022 flooding
WE PARTICIPATE
In addition to attending when invited to periodic community gatherings, LW49 staff sit on a total of 12 boards and coalitions to advance our goals and work towards system alignment.
WE COMMUNICATE
Keeping members of the community informed and educated about our work and each other's is a key element of success.
* LiveWell Wednesdays = Weekly e-newsletter has gained over 100 subscribers since it started a year ago
* LiveWell49.org = Continuously updated with information and resources to support well-being
* Community Events Calendar = Updated regularly with an emphasis on low and no-cost offerings across the county
* Facebook and Social Media = Amplifying information and sharing messages of hope
* Outreach = We table at over a dozen events each year to share resources for mental health and suicide prevention
WE TRAIN
We bring mental health promotion and suicide prevention training to the community through our staff, partners and network of experts across the state
