Constructed in 1914, The Lincoln School building has served as a center of education and civic engagement for generations of Livingston residents. It has witnessed many significant events in our local and national history: the Spanish influenza epidemic, the World Wars, and the Yellowstone National Park's 150th anniversary.
In its current role as an affordable office space, it hosts a variety of nonprofits, artists, entrepreneurs, health providers, and recreationalists who enrich the social and economic fabric of our community. The Lincoln School maintains 29 private affordable work spaces that support 6 local non-profit organizations and incubate 21 local businesses, nearly half of which are working artists. Our support for more than five additional local non-profits continues in our auditorium, which they may use for free for board meetings, performances, classes, fundraisers, and gatherings.
