Benefiting Montana Freshwater Partners

Fundraiser Story

Hi! My name is Cora, I'm an 11 year old fly fisher, fly tier, and river lover. For all these reasons and more, I am raising money for Montana Freshwater Partners during the 2024 Hoot. Protecting and restoring our natural resources, especially water, is important to everyone…or at least it should be!

I like volunteering for Montana Freshwater Partners. The women who work there are awesome and they are doing really interesting work. They're using science to know what waterways need to be healthy and then taking action on it! It's nice to be outside and helping the environment at the same time. It was fun to cut willows then replant them and know that the next time I caught a fish that it was happier in a cleaner river.

I know how important it is to keep our waterways clean and fresh for fish, for drinking water, for wildlife, for recreation and enjoyment. So I am teaming up with Montana Freshwater Partners to help keep it that way by raising money and volunteering on their restoration projects and river clean up days. If the water is clean then more people can enjoy it, and that means a lot to me because I love the river and hope everyone can enjoy it too.

I am donating my money and my time to help keep our waterways wild and clean. I hope you make a donation or sign up to volunteer too!

If you make a donation of $100 or more, I will tie you a fly.
